Capacity measuring unit for batteries - initiates recharging by measuring terminal voltage and discharging time

The capacity measuring unit has a switch connecting a time measuring device that generates clock pulses defining given discharge times. The clock pulses are added in a counter to give a measure of the capacity attained and displayed by an indicator. The battery's voltage is monitored and compared with the time measuring device to control a control relay that ends the test process and connects in the supply and charging device. When a given discharge time has elapsed and when a given discharge voltage is reached, the change-over takes place. When the given discharge voltage has fallen below a set value a signal is released.
