A method is used for entering Chinese characters into an input system of a Sino-Computer. Each Chinese character is divided into six basic strokes, the strokes including horizsontal, ertical, dot, dash strokes and clockwise strokes and counterclockwise strokes. Each of the strokes is assigned a numerical equivalent, and the numerical equivalent is entered into the input system in an order determined by the sequence in which the strokes appear in the respective character. The order is first from up to down and then from left to right, and with clockwise and counter-clockwise strokes having more than two segments. Each respective numerical equivalent has a sub-symbol corresponding to the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction of the segment, respectively.
|
