The flexible refuse receptacle (3) is partic. intended for use in a motor car. It is provided with a releasable fixing device (4) to secure it to a seat, pref. a front seat (1, 2). The device may consist of straps (4) which can be secured around the seat (1). The receptacle may have a long horizontal width and shallow depth with a closable opening along the upper horizontal side. It may contain a replacement plastics foil liner pref with a closable opening at the upper side. The straps may be endless straps of resilient webbing.
