A breaker 1 forms a connection between terminals 26 and 27 on a power board 2 when the terminals 26 and 27 are engaged by contacts 24 and 25 mounted on the body 9 of the breaker 1 when it is closed. The body 9 is mounted on a truck 23 which is movable away from the power board 2 to a position in which a shaft 32 of an earthing device can be rotated, to move levers 33 and 37 which cause an earthing blade 38 mounted on the vessel 9 to make contact with terminal 26 when the truck is moved to the Fig. 4 position thereby earthing the board 2 through the switch which engaged an earth contact 48. A rod 41 on an extension 35 of the shaft 32 engages parts 46, 47 of a plate 45 on the board 2 and is prevented from moving unless the truck 23 is fully withdrawn. <IMAGE> |
