PURPOSE:To make possible easy discovery of defective positons, etc. by providing the rough sectional drawing simulating parts and disposition of copying mechanism to part of the copying machine, disposing a plurality of display lamps on said drawing and lighting these with sensors or the like. CONSTITUTION:The sectional drawing 17 of the construction of the copying machine is displayed in the body portion of the copying machine. E.g., light emitting diodes JAM1-JAM2 indicating paper jam positions, light emitting diode Vc for displaying the generation of high voltage for charging and light emitting diode VT for displaying high voltage for transfer are provided by simulating their position relations. Now, if it is assumed that paper jam occurs in the copying machine, then a microcomputer judges it according to the paper jam position and lights any one of JAM1-JAM2 in correspondence to the jammed position. On the other hand, the copying machine interrupts the copying operation and displays the same with a single paper jam display lamp or the like. Hence, the user is able to rapidly and readily find the occurrence and position of the paper jam and quickly eliminate the same. |
