PURPOSE:To subject a film of a thermoplastic resin to fusion-setting continuously and securely by passing the film between a rotor having a heater at front end portion thereof and an endless belt which is pressed by the heater. CONSTITUTION:A strip type electric heater 9 is attached via a heat insulating material to a front end portion of a rotor 2. An endless belt 5 of silicone rubber is provided between rolls 3, 4 such that a part of the belt is pressed by heater. A film 1 of a thermoplastic resin is fed at a predetermined tension from a dancer roll 8 onto the endless belt via a guide roll 7. The film 1 is then brought into contact with the heater on the rotor so as to be pressed thereby and fusion-set. The endless belt is moved at the same speed as the film. |
