<p>An anode configuration, anode basket and method of packaging anode within the basket. The anode is a coil of continuous rod having a cross-section such that the outer convolutions have an outwardly facing predetermined configuration (e.g. semi-circular, angular or planar) which forms a nose or share. The coils are loaded in a rectangular perforated anode basket and have a diameter greater than the width of the basket but less than the length. The coils are arranged vertically and the nose or share encourages each anode to migrate downwardly towards the bottom of the basket as corrosion progresses.</p> |
