<p>This invention relates to a method of making foamed ethylenic polymer resins. The process comprises using specific mixtures of fluorocarbon blowing agents uuch as, for example, 1,2-dichloro-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoro-ethane and chloropentafluoroethane. The resins are preferably ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resins. The products prepared by the process of this invention are soft, flexible, low density foams especially suited for constructing items of wearing apparel, sports equipment and flotation vests.</p> |
