PURPOSE:To enable a driver on a driver's seat to take a full view of a field which has been considered as a blind area, by providing a periscope type mirror device, which consists of an object glass and an ocular piece, in the vicinity of the left corner of the upper surface of a driver's cabin of a motor-vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A housing 4 for a periscope type mirror device is attached via seal packings 5 to the vicinity of the left corner of an upper portion of a roof 1' of a driver's cabin of a motor-vehicle 1. The mirror device consists of an object glass 2 capable of reflecting a field, which cannot be reflected on a main outside mirror (b) and an under mirror, and an ocular piece 3 provided such as to allow the driver to see at an eye point EP in the driver's cabin an image given by the object glass 2 and reflected therein. This mirror device of the above-described construction permits a driver to take a full view of a field which has been considered as a blind field. Therefore, the mirror device serves to prevent a pedestrian, etc. from being caught by the motor vehicle when it turns to left. |
