PURPOSE:To easily perform manufacture and inspection, by adding a plane lens utilizing a diffraction phenomenon to an ultrasonic-wave probe. CONSTITUTION:A plane lens 6 is arranged in the one direction of an ultrasonic- wave vibrator 1. A plurality of both white ring bands 6a and black ring bands 6b are alternately disposed to the plane lens 6 in concentric-circle shapes. The white ring bands 6a are portions letting ultrasonic waves pass, ultrasonic-wave transmission regions, and the black ring bands 6b portions preventing the transmission of ultrasonic waves, ultrasonic-wave non-transmission regions. A stable focus is obtained because the focus of the lens does not depend upon the acoustic velocity of the lens due to a diffraction phenomenon of acoustic waves. |
