PURPOSE:To achieve the simplification of variable-power copy-making operation and the reduction in mis-copy production by collating variable pattern information and paper size information. CONSTITUTION:Plural variable-power patterns 4, pattern-selection switches 5 and pattern-display lamps 6 are provided to an operation panel 2 and the code-read marks RM which fetch out the sized and home position directions of the paper contained in paper cassettes as electrical signals are mounted thereto. If with this arrangement the selection switch 5 of the desired variable-power pattern 4 is pushed, the variable-power pattern is produced and is collated with the paper size information with respect to the paper cassette which the current device has selected, whereby whether the paper cassette is suited for the variable-power pattern assigned or not is checked and when each information coincides, the exposure optical system is moved to the position of the assigned variable-power magnification and when they do not coincide, the collation with the other paper size information is accomplished. When they coincide, the actual selection operation of the paper cassette is accomplished. |
