An infrared photo receiver for a heat pattern instrument makes raster-type scanning motions to produce the image. It consists of a strip-shaped substrate (1) with a series of electronic modules forming operational amplifiers (2) applied to the flat surface in the form of an integrated circuit. The front edge is fitted with a cooled infrared cell (4) and the opposite edge with a signal display element (5). A number of the substrates are connected in parallel and stacked next to and above each other into a compact unit. The substrate (1) consists of a silicon chip and the signal display element (5) is a charge carrier or a l.e.d. The electronic modules on the silicon chips are attached by precipitation and have a common voltage supply (6).
