Scoop wheel excavator loader jib support - involves suspension on hinged mast linked to hoist via turntable block

The support for a cantilevered loading jib (3) is esp. for use on a scoop wheel excavator for open-cast mining, comprising swivelling superstructure on a travelling chassis. A conventional cantilevered jib is mounted, with rigging mast (4) in a hinged joint, on a statically clamped turntable (1) in three swivelling support points (5) concentric to the centre with support cables (11) for suspension on the mast. The mast is connected to hoist gear (9) via a block (2) on the turntable. A centering device is fitted, for absorption of horizontal forces. The design affords widely varied application, while the number of relative movements in the centre of rotation is reduced.
