<p>A series of l.e.d.s is arranged in a plastics housing in the form of an arrow and is used for advertising purposes. The body of the arrow is mfd. in PVC to form a hollow section into which the diodes are set. Typically, the diodes are 5.1 mm diameter and are set at 10 mm pitch. The diodes are supplied over limiting resistors from a 9 V battery supply. The connections are made in two groups connected over cross-coupled transistor stages. Outputs to the diode series are over a two pole switch that enables the display to alternate from one series to the other or as a continuous display.</p> |
