Reactor pressure container take=up screw strain measurement - using remote indication inductive sensor with displacement sensing rod

A strain gauge device for take-up screws of pressure containers, esp. reactors pressure container, cover screws, achieves simplified mounting and demounting and increased reading accuracy. Readings can be taken remote from the pressure container. A sensing rod detecting relative displacement of a screw reference surface and a measurement rod in a central screw bore form part of a mechanical-electrical transducer connected to a remote control unit via a measurement and power supply cable. An extension rod coupling the transducer housing to the measurement rod is attached to the measurement rod with a quick action coupling. the transducer contains an inductive sensor actuated by sensing rod displacement.
