The invalid chair comprises a seat with backrest on a three-wheeled travel chassis having two front steering wheels and a rear one underneath the seat driven by an electric motor. The seat itself is a conventional hand-propelled one (56), sliding over the driving wheel (3) and lockable in position. The driving wheel can be mounted by means of tilting sprinlegs (51) on the cassis (4), and movable by a motor-driven adjusting spindle between their two end postions.
