Contour demonstration model for land or sea - has baseplate with vertical slotted carrier for attaching contour plates at required heights

The model for showing the contours at different heights or depths of mountains or oceans is suitable for schoolrom use. It has a baseplate (1) which carries a vertical strip (2) on which are mounted the horizontal plates (8-11) which show the contours at the different heights. Each plate has a slot along it, enabling it to slide into position on the vertical strip, which has corresponding slots (7) in it, at different heights, for the plates. The vertical strip also has side extensions (12) to support the plates. The slot along each plate terminates in a hole (16). The whole can be fitted with a transparent cover corresponding to the shape of e.g. a mountain.
