PURPOSE:To improve magnetic properties, without lowering the strength of a molded thing, by adding a predetermined amount of thermosetting resin at a given rate of viscosity to intermetallic compound magnet powder comprising rare earth metal and Co used as basic component and kneading them well. CONSTITUTION:Molding material is prepared by adding a thermosetting resin of more than 2% and less than 4% at a viscosity of 100...20,000CP to intermetallic compound magnet powder comprising rare earth metal R (Sm, Y, Ce, La, Pr, misch metal and the like) and Co used as basic component and kneading them well. And thereafter, it is molded under pressure by use of a magnetic field press and others and heated at a given temperature and then solidified. With these processes, the magnetic properties of the molded things are remarkably improved while maintaining the strength thereof. |
