The impact-type ejector is for tools with tapering shanks held by friction in the taper bores in machine-tool spindles. An ejector wedge is in the form of a flat bar inserted in an elongated hole running in the lengthwise direction of the spindle, so that its ramp face bears against the rear end of the shank. It is struck with a hammer so as to drive the tool out. The wedge (14) has a guide bar (29) extending from its rear end (20) and parallel to its face (21) acting against the rear edge (19) of the elongated hole. A hammer block (30) slides easily to and fro on the bar, at the free end of which is a stop (33) restricting its rearward movement.
|
