Parent Patent described a steam peeler for potatoes and other tubers which were fed through a lock to pressure vessel. In this addn., the vessel shape is a vertical cylinder with a horizontal partition. An intermittently revolving transport wheel is in two parts, each with six segments which convey the charge from the feed lock to the discharge lock. This brings the tubers into contact with hot steam in small portions. It operates continuously and is simple in design so that it can be produced at low cost.
