PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature of a head in long-term use form increasing to excess by evading the genration of an in-use eddy current by forming a slit on a metal magnetic material of high saturated-magnetic-flux density arranged on the flank of the magnetic clearance of a magnetic core. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head consists of cores 1A, 1B and 1C made of ferrite of high permeablility and metal magnetic material 2 forming magnetic clearances (g1) and (g2), and metal magnetic material 2 should be approximate 0.5-30mu in thickness, approximate 5000G or more in saturated magnetic flux density and approximate 5000 or more in permeability (e.g. PC Permalloy); and notch groove 3 is made in the above-mentioned magnetic material 2 in the depth direction of magnetic clearances (g1) and (g2) and magnetic material 2 is divided into beltlike parts 2a to obtain magnetic heads. It is recommened that width (d) of the above-mentioned beltlike part 2a is about twice a skin depth. |
