MOISTURE CONTENT METER

A moisture content meter is disclosed, which comprises a microwave generator for generating a microwave signal having a constant power level, a micro-strip transmission line connected to receive the microwave signal from said microwave generator at one end thereof and located at such a position that the sample material to be measured, for instance cereal, can contact the surface thereof, and a microwave detector connected to the other end of the microstrip transmission line to detect the remaining power level of the microwaves after absorption by the sample material. The moisture content meter is capable of measuring the moisture content of flowing or moving objects without impeding the flow and irrespective of the bulk of the sample to be measured.
