摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the measurement precision of an engagement error of a gear to be measured by extracting as a frequency signal a relation between the set engagement ratio of a measured-gear system and the transmission amount of engagement with a frictional contact rotation system of the same rotation ratio. CONSTITUTION:Wheels 21 and 22 in frictional contact have the same rotation ratio as the set engagement ratio between gears 11 and 12 to be measured, and rotational driven gear 12 is supported by rotation axis 32 of driven-side wheel 22. Then, driven gear 12 and rotation axis 32 are provided with movable-side electrode 51 and fixed-side electrodes 51a and 52b of variable capacitance 50. Those capacitance elements are connected to mixer MIX by way of crystal oscillators Xtal1 and Xtal2 and oscillators OSC1 and OSC2. Here, if rotations of gear 12 are not equal to those of rotation axis 32, output frequency (f) nearly in proportion to a shift in rotation between driven gear 12 and rotation axis 32 can be obtained from mixer MIX. In this way, an engagement error between gears can accurately be measured.
