PURPOSE:To effect the reduction in size of the change gear casing by disposing the crank shaft above the joined plane of the change gear casing and the intermediate shaft below it with a displacement to the crank shaft at a two-wheeled vehicle engine having a change gear monolithically. CONSTITUTION: A two-wheeled vehicle engine 10 consists of banks 11, 12 in the form of V. Below the engine disposed is a change gear casing 21 unitarily with a crankcase. The casing 21 is divided into upper and lower portions 21a, 21b at a joined plane A. Then, a crank shaft 22 is disposed within the upper casing 21a and an intermediate shaft 26 is disposed within the lower casing 21b. These shafts 22, 26 are shifted to each other in vertical direction. The intermediate shaft 26 can be coupled with sub-shafts 35, 36 and a main shaft being interlocked with a clutch (not shown) through change forkes 34, and transmits the revolution of the crank shaft 22 to an output shaft 41. |
