PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of heat exchange as well as miniaturize heat exchanger by providing corrugated fins of a specific dimension to flat pipe through which fluid to be cooled is passed. CONSTITUTION:The corrugated fins 1e are provided on the sectionally longitudinal side of the flat pipe 1c leading to the inlet tank 1a and the outlet tank 1f to form a radiator core. The length of the corrugated fin 1e, or the length C in parallel with the flow of air, is set to 12-23mm, the pitch Ep is 1.5-3.3mm, and the sectionally longitudinal length of the flat pipe 1c is less than C. A great number of the louvers 1e' of an angle of approx. 25-30 deg. are formed on the corrugated fin 1e, by which the width of heat exchanger, corresponding to the air flow direction a, can be greatly reduced. Thus, the weight of heat exchanger can be reduced correspondingly. |
