The tool head (1) of the apparatus contains holders (3) with cutting tools (4) as a well as a device for the radial adjustment of the holders. The radial-adjustment device has hydraulic cylinders (7), a holder (3) being fastened to the piston rod (8) of the respective cylinder (7). Springs (11) are provided, one end of which is supported on the housing (9) of the tool head (1) and the other end of which is supported on the respective holder (3). The apparatus also contains a centring device (26) through which the shaft (12) of a drive (14) passes. The tool head (1) is rotatably driven via this shaft (12). The centring device (26) carries a cam plate (16) on which an actuating rod (17) of a control slide (10) slides. The control slide (10) controls the mode of operation of the hydraulic cylinders (7) of the tool head (1). The inner flash can be removed by means of this apparatus irrespective of the temperature and the form of the flash, in the course of which a permissible loading of the cutting tools is not exceeded. <IMAGE>
