Charging gas emission prevention - for coke ovens processing stamped coal cakes by hinged sealing frame

The emission of charging gases during the charging operations of a stamped cake of coking coal into the horizontal chamber of a coke oven is prevented according to the Parent Patent by a sealing frame which surrounds the cake and seals the space between oven walls and cake against the outside. This frame is hinged to a structure on the samping machine in such a way that it is adjusted simultaneously in the horizontal and vertical direction. This simplifies the correct alignment of the sealing frame which prevents dust and gas emission more reliably than suction devices.
