The towel roller has a support roller carrying the roller towel and a friction roller (17) in contact with the towel. The friction roller is connected by a chain drive to a top support roller (10) fitted with a ratchet and pawl (11). The roller (25) is pivoted about the pivot point (22) on the arm (23). The friction roller is kept in contact by the spring (30) in the bracket (31a). The towel passes behind the rear guard (34) which can move vertically.
