A boot (9) for cross-country skiing comprises a sole (26) having an extension (8) towards the front, permitting the fastening of the boot (9) on the ski (5), so as to enable the skier to walk by raising the heels. In order to ensure great flexibility in the zone located at the front of the foot, the sole (26) and its extension (8) are obtained directly by moulding in plastic.
