The tractor chassis incorporates a support construction for an earth drilling mechanism displaceable vertically. The support construction is fitted on the side edge of the tractor, between the front and rear wheels, and comprises a vertical column (25). The drilling mechanism comprises a frame which is displaceable vertically and transverse on the column. Sideways from the frame project horizontal feet (29). In the lengthways direction of the feet a bearer frame (32) is displaceable, carrying the earth drill and its drive.
