A ball which rolls along a surface beneath it, in a game such as a miniature golf ball, consists of a hard core and an outer layer which, as it rolls is elastically deformable. The outer layer consists of relatively closely arranged, radially aligned, short elastic fibres of e.g. polyamide. The outer layer may also be of rubber. The ball runs accurately on a hard surface. The length of the surface fibres is 0.5-2.0 mm and they can be applied electrostatically using an adhesive such as an epoxy resin.
|
