Heel holder for ski binding - works with sole holder and includes release action for locking mechanism

The device holds down the heel on a ski binding with a release action. There is a sole holder section positioned on a housing swivelling on a base section rigidly fixed to the ski. The rear housing end which contains the link if the housing to the base section is secured against lifting from that base section and in addition there is a locking mechanism which releases against spring action and which fixes the opened position of the heel down holder. The intentional release of the locking mechanism is carried out by hand. The housing(2) carrying the sole down holding section (3) is guided at the end pointing to the ski boot by sliding devices such as bolts, pins or projections(8) is guide slots of the base section(1). The means of release(5) are linked to that part of the housing swivelling upwards with locking parts positioned on the release device(5) which work together with counter locking sections on the base section fixed to the ski.
