Indexing control for X=ray film cassettes - operates with LED illuminated optical system inside X=ray equipment

A simple indexing control is used for an X-ray film cassette in which an LED type of indicator has its output projected onto the edge of the film before or after X-ray exposure. The optical system is arranged into the X-ray equipment so that it can be directed onto the opened cassette. The system dispenses with the bulky lead masks and manual control. The relevant data is selected by switches with a repeater display on an outside screen and a high rate of working may be obtained.
