The reclining seat has two interconnected swivel bed faces made of a compact solid material and designed to lie flat on the ground for use as a beach bed, stretcher, or other purpose. The bed has a swivel transverse support so that one part of the bed can be raised by 20 deg. for a backrest, 40 deg. for a semi-reclining position or 60 deg. for a sitting position. Two loose upholstered cushions can be hooked inside the folded-up bed frames for easy storage. The bed can be readily unfolded and arranged in the position required. The bed could also be used on end to provide a wind break.
