The bulk refuse collector container accommodates refuse forced in under pressure and emptied by gravity above the loading hatch, and has a polygonal and preferably square cross-section, tapering towards the interior. On the inside and at the innermost end (12) the corners (19) are masked from the interior of the containerby inclined walls (19). The latter can be welded into place and triangular in shape, their corners fitting in the converging inner edges.
