<p>The orthodontic equipment transmits tooth-moving forces from a jaw wire to a tooth. It comprises a holder (21) fixed to the tooth and accommodating a detachable control cap (22). The holder base is secured to the tooth, and has a pair of occlusal-gingival shanks (30) spaced apart, forming between them a mesial-distal opening appreciably larger than the wire. The cap has portions (36, 37) detachably engaging with the shanks, and the holder has a slot (39) accommodating the wire, so as to control the tooth-moving forces acting between the wire (32) and the tooth.</p> |
