<p>The differential gear unit, which incorporates bored gearing, has a housing rotated by an input shaft. Two coaxial output shaft extend from the housing for rotating respective crown wheel and pinion sets. A set is associated with each of two driven output shafts. The axes of the shafts may be parallel and offset or may be parallel but inclined to the axis of the differential unit. A second differential gearing acting as an inter axle differential may also be incorporated, being arranged alongside the first gearing.</p> |
