Reactant conversion system - spraying reactants on liquid film descending on reactor walls

In a conversion process of reactions in a reactor, esp. in the mfr. of latex by suspension polymerisation, water or an organic solvent is allowed to descend along the walls of the reaction chamber. The prod. of reaction obtd. from the reactions chamber. The prod. of reaction obtd. from the reactants is dissolved in the liq. and is extracted from the reaction system entirely or partly with the liquid. This is an uncomplicated process and the desired prod. of reaction can be easily sepd. from the reaction mixt. The new reactor is smaller and costs less to build and to maintain than conventional reactors.
