PURPOSE:To engrave automatically with high accuracy without selecting material of an original drawing by holding a material of stamp at one side of a movable table while holding the original drawing at the outer side thereof engraving reversed figures of the figures written on the original drawing onto the stamping surface of the material of stamp with laser beams. CONSTITUTION:A material of stamp 10 is held on one side of a movable table 1, reciprocating in a direction of X axis in parallel in a same plane while moving in a direction of Y axis in parallel at a constant pitch, and an original drawing 11, wherein figures such as characters or the like are drawn directly or indirectly with figures facing toward a front direction, is held on the other side of the movable table. When a light spot consisting of light beams from a projector 19 is scanning on the surface of the original drawing 11, strength and weakness of the reflected light is detected by a photoelectric transducer 20 and beam projections from a laser beam oscillator 18 to the surface 10a of the material of stamp are effected intermittently. According to this method, reversed figures of the figures on the original drawing 11 may be engraved onto the surface 10a of the material of stamp. |
