<p>A method of dying and printing fabric contg. synthetic-polymer fibres, giving optimum handle, consists in preheating the material; impregnating it with dyes in aq. soln. or suspension; opt. intermediate dying; fixing the dye by 'Thermosol' (RTM) treatment or steaming, and finally post-treating the fabri with hot water in the presence of additives. Pretreatment is carried out on the fabric is skein form or in open idth in a bath at 80-140 degrees O (pref. 95-120 degrees C). The textile is hydroextracted or dried and ketp in open width during impregnation with dye. It is then transported, as a skein under as low tension as possible, to undergo a post-treatment in >=2 baths, opt. in presence of surfactants, >=1 bath having a temp. of 80-140 degrees C (pref. 95-120 degrees C). The material is conveyed in a dwell chamber, via a winder o nozzle, to ensure that the skein becomes untwisted. The method is used with polyester, polyamide and polyacrylonitrile fabrics and with fabrics made from the blends of polyester fibres and wool or cellulose fibres, employing the usual classes of dye for these types of fibre.</p> |
