The medical infusion and transfusion apparatus accommodates the fluid in a flexible vessel having a metering device in the pipe from its outlet. The flexible vessel (2) is completely enclosed in a pressure vessel (1) equipped with a pump (12). The metering device (6) is completely filled with the fluid. There can be a hand pump (12) fitted to the pressure vessel, both having non-return valves (11, 14). Alternatively the pressure vessel can itself form the pump, its wall incorporating a compressible bellows.
