PURPOSE:To dissolve problems such as flooding or remaining of ink and the like upon starting or stopping an ejection head by providing at an ink inlet side of the ejection head with an opening-and-closing valve, a bypass tube bypassing the valve and a liquid head losing portion. CONSTITUTION:An opening-and-closing valve 21 of a three-way valve is provided at an ink inlet side of an ejection head 30, and an exhaust side thereof is communicated with an ink feeding pipe 28 through a bypass tube 29 and a liquid head losing portion 31. Upon starting, a bubbles releasing valve 24 is opened and ink is flown with a minute pressure into a liquid chamber of the ejection head 30 from the exhaust side of the three-way valve 21 through the bypass tube 29 and the liquid head losing portion 31. After the liquid chamber is filled up with the ink, the bubbles releasing valve 24 and a bypass valve 26 is closed and the ink feeding pipe 28 is connected to an ink inlet port of the ejection head 30. Upon stopping, the bubble releasing valve 24 is opened and the three-way valve 21 is switched to the exhaust side, thereby, the ink is returned to the feeding pipe 28 rapidly. |
