Insecticidal compsns. contg. >=1 insect attractant (esp. a proteinaceous materia) are claimed. Prefd. attractants are serum proteins (esp. bovine a serum albumin) or whole blood (op. contg. an anticoagulant). The compsns. can be liq. or absorbed in a solid absorbent material; they can also contain hygroscopic materails and/or preservatives. The compsns. are esp. useful for controlling flies, e.g. the Sheep head fly (Hydrotaea irritans).
