PURPOSE:To simplify the insertion of a wire, prevent the wire from dropping off a vetical guide and effectively remove chips, by providing the vertical guide of nozzle type. CONSTITUTION:In a wire-cut spark erosion machine, a wire is engaged on an upper roller and laid through a wire hole 47 from the bottom 42 of a nozzle-type guide C. The front end of the wire is picked out through an opening of a cap A, an opening 35 of a hollow casing B and an opening 49 of the guide C. The wire is laid through a perforated hole of a workpiece, the tip of a guide stone of the guide C and exposed in the openings 35, 49 etc. The wire is then conducted to a lower roller. A cut-off piece 39 is set in the opening 35. The cap A is rotated to cover the cut-off piece 39. A machining liquid is supplied in a through a feed pipe and ejected in the direction of the insertion of the wire through a gap 50. Thus, the insertion of the wire is simplified and chips are effectively removed. |
