<p>Conveyor belt whose reinforcement comprises metal cables (1) and at least one covering of which consists of a plastic, characterised in that the metal cables are embedded in a layer (2) consisting of a crosslinked mixture containing a rubber which is a butadiene and acrylonitrile copolymer containing from 20 to 50% by weight of acrylonitrile, a polychloroprene, a chlorosulphonated polyethylene, an elastomeric chlorinated polyethylene, a polyurethane in solid or pasty form or a mixture of two or more of these products, and in that the covering (3) contains a plastic which is a vinyl polychloride, a vinylidene polychloride, a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinylidene, a thermoplastic chlorinated polyethylene or a mixture of one or more of these products, the said layer containing the metal cables and the said covering being in direct and strongly adhesive contact with each other. <IMAGE></p> |
