PURPOSE:To enable to sharply alter laser output instantaneously, by changing the number of discharging electrodes among a plurality of positive electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A rectifier 2 is connected at the output side of a boosting transformer 1 so that the rectifier be formed in full-wave rectification. The plus sides of the rectifier 2 are connected through resistance 4 to not less than one discharge positive electrodes 6 through a switch 3. Circuits connected to the discharge electrodes 6 directly through the resistor 4 without through the switch 3 are connected in parallel. The minus sides of the rectifier 2 are connected to discharge negative electrodes 7 corresponding to each discharge positive electrode 6. A discharge region is constituted by the discharge positive electrodes 6 and the discharge negative electrodes 7, and laser output is altered by means of the switch 3. |
