PURPOSE:To pressurize ink to be supplied to an ink jet head, by providing a means in an ink chamber to conduct the ink to an ink passage in a hollow shaft out of the ink chamber depending on the rotation of the hollow shaft and by utilizing the scanning drive of the ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:A screw 2a is provided in an ink chamber 2 so that the threaded part of the screw is located in the major-diameter bottom of a hollow shaft 1. When the shaft 1 is rapidly rotated in recording operation, ink in the hollow shaft is revolved because of its viscosity together with the inside surface of the hollow shaft 1 in the same direction and elevated along the screw 2a. The ink in the ink chamber 2 is sucked up into an ink passage 1a in the hollow shaft 1 and pressurized in the passage. An ink pressurizing pump can be dispensed with or made compact. This results in reducing the size of an inkjet recorder and the number of parts. |
