PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording head which has a low cost and a small quantity of vibration displacement and ejects uniform ink particles, by using a quadrangular piezoelectric element larger than a circular compression chamber. CONSTITUTION:A circular compression chamber 14 is fitted with a quadrangular piezoelectric element 31 larger than the chamber. Becasue the element 31 covers the compression chamber 14 and a lower electrode 12, the piezoelectric element 31 is distorted only at its part between electrodes but the compression chamber 14 is distorted at all its outside when a voltage is applide to the element 31. Differently from a circular piezoelectric element, the vibration displacement of the quadrangular piezoelectric element 31 is almost constant even if its center is not accurately positioned. When numerous heads are combined with one another, ink particles of uniform size can be ejected from each nozzle 13. An output line can be connected at a part distant from the compression chamber 14 as in the postion of a solder bead 15. |
