PURPOSE:To operate a reciprocating motion of piston rod continuously with a single pressure action of the compressed air, by providing a main piston and two piston valves, that switch the motion when the main piston reaches the stroke end, in the cylinder main unit. CONSTITUTION:In a cylinder main unit 1 are provided a main piston 2 and a first and second piston valve 3, 4 that switches the action when the main piston 2 reaches the stroke end. If compressed air is supplied from a tube 10 in a condition as shown in the drawing, a piston rod 9 goes up. With the piston rod 9 approaching the top end, the air chamber and a porte are linked, with pressure air flowing into the top end chamber of the second piston valve 4, and the second piston valve 4 is changed over downward. Then with the top end chamber of the second piston valve 4 flowing into the top end chamber of the first piston valve 3 through a port X, Y, the first piston valve 3 is changed over downward. In this way, the pressure air from the tube 10 flows into the piston chamber to actuate the piston rod 9 downward. |
