Cassette container portion having thin walls is injection moulded in a split mould in which is located a core, whose free end is located in a recess in the mould cavity to prevent its lateral displacement. Part of the walls are provided with recesses at locations which will later be closed by a lid. Used as film or magnetic tape cassette with slidable or pivotally mounted lid.
